EXPERIENCE. EXPERTISE. EXCELLENCE These are not empty words that we carelessly toss around. We mean them. We live them. We are them. WE HAVE EXPERIENCE We’ve been family-owned and operated since 1982—honing our craft, sharpening our skills and broadening our knowledge for decades. Think you have a problem window? Give us a call. We’ve probably come across a similar issue and have the right solution. WE VALUE EXPERTISE It’s been said that an expert is someone who has made all the mistakes that can possibly be made in their own narrow field. If you’ve also spent many years in the same profession, you probably understand. We’ve earned expert status in our field through our interactions with each and every customer. WE CARE ABOUT EXCELLENCE Being excellent is a deliberate decision we make every day as a company. We consciously decide to be excellent in the way we treat you when you first call, when we design your window treatments and awnings, when we hunt for the perfect fabric or wallpaper to complement your home, when we install your products and when we welcome you back for your next project. We look forward to hearing from you, and for the opportunity to show you that we mean what we say.

At Made in the Shade we offer several options to enhance your insulation needs. In addition to lowering your heating and cooling costs, Made in the Shade knows that our window treatments can also protect your furniture and flooring from damaging ultraviolet rays from the sun. Jeff Smoker grew up on a family farm in Chester County, PA. It was there that he learned the value of a hard day's work and the importance of integrity as a way of life. In 1987, after Jeff graduated from high school, he got a job working for an overhead door company, but it had been a dream of his to someday own and operate his own business. So in 1998, Jeff felt that God was leading him to take a step of faith and start his own business. Since then, the company has grown in size and also in the area that we service. This growth would not have been possible without the dedicated team of employees that have been a part of Smoker Door Sales.
